What is the recommended serving size?

7 tablets or 1-1/4 teaspoon of powder (about 3.5 grams) is the recommended serving size. Two to three servings per day will ensure you get a full complement of quality greens every single day. Like with exercise, the benefits of eating well come from consistency over time.

The 3.5 gram size is the equivalent of a single serving of dark green leafy vegetables as defined by the USDA.

 

So when is it best to take them?

Ideally, you would take your wheat grass or barley grass an hour or so before a meal with a good amount of water or other liquid. This helps your body take full advantage of the nutrients without competing with other foods, and may also take the edge off your hunger so you don't eat as much at meals. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon are great times for a green energy pick-me-up.

However, what's *most* important is that you take it at a time that is most convenient for you, so you get your greens every day.
